ALBION  CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

March 15, 2010

The meeting was called to order and President Herendeen called for a motion on the minutes of the last meeting.   Motion made by Chris Magnuson &  Judy Carpenter, seconded.  Motion Carried.

A call was then made by President Phyllis for a motion to accept the Treasurers report. C & F Bank balance as of 3/15/10  is $5878.00.  Motion to accept by Chris Magnuson and seconded by Randy Myers.  Carried. 

 NEW BUSINESS:  The Town Wide Garage Sale is set for May 7-8. President Phyllis will have all the information ready to go out soon. Food vendors will be allowed on the corner of Orange & Main St. both days.

MAY 15: City clean- up  and the Goodwill truck will be on the city lot across from the post office starting at 8:30 a.m.  Also Noble County Disposal  is talking about setting up their truck on that lot to collect used computers/electronics. Traffic must flow from St. Rd. 9 East thru the lot.

If all danger of frost is past, the flowers for the corner pots will also be delivered on the 15th.  The “pot watcher” committees will be  in action again this summer. (definition; flower waterers)

 The city Rubber Duck Race is scheduled for May 15.  Ducks are on sale at the City Hall 3 for $10.00 or a donation can be made.

OLD BUSINESS: The Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for the Saturday before Easter after the Bunny breakfast at the Fire Station

Farmers Market was the subject of some discussion when Sally Merriman asked if we could move the Market to the East side of the Courthouse?  Chris Magnuson explained that would require a permit from the state.  Judy Carpenter    Chairperson of the Farmers Market  said one vendor asked to start in April.

President Phyllis read Thank You notes from  LEAP and NORTH RIDGE VILLAGE  &

JUNIOR  ACHEIVEMENT  for our donations to them.  Chamber also received a letter from Sandy Petrie asking for our support of KIPS.  Motion was made by Chris Magnuson & seconded by Randy Myers to give them $100.00.  Carried.

Kevin Dreibelbis announced the Directories for the Chamber are printed and he showed those present the beautiful front cover picture of the  Central Noble High School. Kevin had only a few and passed them out and said he would get them out to all that wanted some.

 Kevin Dreibelbis motioned to adjourn, Randy Myers seconded.
