COMMERCE 12/21/09
Harvest
House Café
President
Phyllis Herendeen called the meeting of 7 (seven) members to order and asked for
a motion on the minutes of the last meeting.
Motion was made by Gregg Gorsuch and a second by Carla Fiandt.
Motion carried. Next the
President called for a motion on the Treasurers report.
Motion was made by Barb Kirkpatrick with the second by Carla Fiandt.
Motion carried.
OLD
BUSINESS: HALL OF TREES.
This event was held at the Library and consisted of three
trees and
four wreaths.
When sold they brought in $230.00.
Christmas
House Walk:
There were seven homes included in the walk.
168 tickets were sold at $5.00 each, and could be used both Saturday
& Sunday but only once at each
home. After expenses we
had $651.10.
The committee chose to place
the money in a designated bank account to
be given out later.
NEW
BUSINESS:
The Annual
Albion Chamber Of
Commerce Dinner
will be
held at the American
Legion Post 246
on Thursday,
January 14, 2010,
5:30 pm
Social and
6:00 pm dinner. The
Honoree and speaker for the evening will be
Mark Ide,
owner of the
NorthRidge Village
Nursing and
Rehab Center north of town.
A
discussion of how many
board members will
be on the
ballot for
reelection found that all will
run for
reelection except for the three
that still have one year
to finish. All
officers that are on the
ballot will
resume those
seats if reelected.
Lily of
the Valley
will do
the flowers.
Annual
Dues
for the
Chamber are due
and can
be paid
at the
Annual Dinner.
The
Holiday Light
Decorations
will be
taken down
January 3. Anyone wishing to
help should
call city
hall.
